The theme of this year’s forum is Language Teaching and Testing: Opportunities for Learning and includes sub-themes such as syllabus design, classroom practice, and test development. Opportunities for learning through testing will be addressed through these sub-themes from the perspective of the teacher, learner, test developer and test provider.
The Forum will provide a unique opportunity for EFL practitioners, university professors, test developers, materials writers and independent researchers from the private and public sectors in Greece, as well as the international testing community to gain greater insight into the interface of language teaching and testing.
The 2nd Forum will feature 10 distinguished guest speakers, each an internationally recognized expert in the field of language testing and evaluation today.
The forum will open on Friday evening with an inaugural presentation followed by a hosted reception. Forty-minute talks by the invited speakers, followed by a ten-minute question period, will be scheduled in succession throughout the day on Saturday. The forum will come to a close on Saturday evening. A one-day excursion will be planned for Sunday.
Details of the program, accommodations and the one-day excursion will be announced early Spring 2006.
